PNG to JPG: the essentials
To convert PNG to JPG, drop your PNG file above, choose JPG as the output format, and download the converted file. Your first conversion each day is free, no account is required, and your upload is deleted automatically within about 30 minutes.
Why convert PNG to JPG? PNG is lossless and great for graphics, but the files are large and JPG is accepted everywhere. If your image has no transparency, JPG saves space with no visible quality loss.

PNG to JPG — frequently asked
Do I need an account to convert images?
No. SnapConvrt has no sign-up, login, or email capture. You land on a page, upload, and download — that's the whole flow.
Is it free?
You get one free single-file conversion every 24 hours — no account, no subscription. Converting more files that day, or a batch of 2 to 50 files, unlocks with a paid credit bundle.
How many files can I convert at once, and how large?
Up to 50 files per batch, 20 MB per file, and 500 MB in total. One file is free; batches of 2–50 require an upgrade.
Do you store or keep my images?
Your uploaded originals are sent over an encrypted connection to our storage provider, used only to perform the conversion, and live in an anonymous, short-lived session — about 30 minutes by default, and within 24 hours at the latest — then delete automatically. Converted files are never stored at all. You can also delete instantly with "Delete now".
When does the conversion actually happen?
At download time, on our servers — you pick an output format and the converted file is generated on the fly as you download it, then never saved. There is no long-running queue or processing dashboard. Conversion runs server-side (not in your browser), but the converted bytes are never written to disk.
Do you remove EXIF or GPS location data from my images?
Yes. Converted files are generated with image metadata stripped — including EXIF and GPS location — so the file you download carries no embedded camera or location data. Your uploaded original keeps its own metadata only for the short time it exists in your session before it auto-deletes.
Which formats are supported?
HEIC and HEIF to JPEG or PNG, WebP to JPEG or PNG, PNG to JPEG, and JPEG to PNG. SnapConvrt is built for these six routes — not as a universal converter.
How do I get help or report a problem?
Email contact@snapconvrt.com and we'll get back to you. Since there are no accounts, include the details of what you were trying to convert and any error message you saw.
What is a PNG file?
PNG (Portable Network Graphics) is a lossless image format that supports transparency. It's ideal for logos, graphics and screenshots, though files are larger than JPG.
Will converting PNG to JPG lose transparency?
JPG doesn't support transparency, so transparent areas become a solid background (usually white). If you need transparency, use PNG output instead.
Is a JPG smaller than a PNG?
Almost always, yes — JPG uses lossy compression, so photos and detailed images shrink significantly with little visible difference.
